Jignesh focuses his practices on counseling businesses and individuals in a variety of matters. Prior to starting his own firm he represented clients in employment matters, such as wage and hour disputes, teacher tenure litigation, and discrimination cases.
He was also actively involved in advising health care providers in employment matters such as procedures to implement before a doctor’s privileges may be suspended or revoked, reviewing healthcare provider’s internal policies to ensure compliance with HIPAA and recommending changes to their IT policies. In addition, he defended various matters in New Jersey and New York courts.
Prior to that experience he was an associate at a large central New Jersey firm representing clients in a wide range of business litigation, including copyright and trademark infringement, product liability defense, franchise termination, advising on workplace privacy, wrongful termination and CEPA violations, and construction defects law. While there, he also served as an Assistant Municipal Prosecutor for Rutgers University and prosecuted numerous traffic and minor criminal matters.
He has also successfully represented clients in court-ordered arbitration and obtained favorable settlements for his clients.
Jignesh is an active member of the India Cultural Association (ICA) of Central Jersey. His involvement in the Indian community has led to the representation of several Indian-owned businesses. His fluency in Gujarati and Hindi, understanding of Indian culture, including expectations of counsel, facilitate smooth communication and improve representation.
Before entering private practice, Jignesh was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Richard Newman (Ret.), Presiding Judge, Appellate Division, New Jersey Superior Court.
Prior to and during law school, Jignesh was associated with Consensis, LLC, an energy consulting firm in New Jersey, where he served as an intermediary between public utilities and energy suppliers on behalf of Consensis’ aggregation clients. Jignesh is able to use his experience at Consensis to the benefit of his clients.
